People come here to relax and get rid of stress.
A beautiful 4 star hotel under the mountain.

It is located in Enciso, the place where most of the paleontological remains are, cause dinosaurs lived in this place million of years ago.

Building 3: San Esteban Church in Herce.
Most of you gave the right answer,
so congratulations to you all.
This is a beautiful church in the centre of the village.
It is from the XV century!

Building 4: Castle from Préjano.
Most of you gave the right answer so congratulations to you all again. This tower is part of a castle which was built in the 15th century. It´s 15 metres tall and nowadays we use it as a museum. It is divided into 4 floors which can be visited by everybody.
In the past it was used as a place to watch for enemies who wanted to conquer us. From the top floor, they could comunicate with people from the close villages as Herce.

Right answers from Iceland

Here are the right answers from Iceland!

1. building

Many of you guessed that this building had something to do with boats or ships which is true. Wiktor from Poland said the building to be a “repair shop for ships” and that is the correct answer.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

2. building

There were a lot of good and imaginative suggestions such as that these are the houses for Yule lads, dwarfs or the houses of the three little pigs. It is true that these are houses for animals and one of them are for bunnies like Kinga from Poland suggested. Raquel, Paul and Noha from Spain were close as well meaning these houses to be animal farms. But the animal only stay there during the summer where people can visit them.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

3. building

This was a difficult picture and no one had the right answer but there were many good guesses like a swimming pool or a hospital. But this is Víkingaheimar, a museum about Vikings (of course Rakel Viktoría from Iceland knew the building had something to do with vikings since she has been there)!

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

4. building

This is our church in Innri Njarðvík just as Unax, Raquel and Elba from Spain suggested as well as Maja from Poland. But it is also a cemetery as Kinga from Poland and David, Clara, Izan and Lucas guessed.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

5. building

Our fifth building is the school in Innri Njarðvík where the children go to from the age of 6 till 16 years. Daniel, Paul and Noha from Spain were right this time. But you can also play soccer there outside the school as Izan and Lucas from Spain suggested.

Enciso

enciso house1

enciso houseAs you can see in the pictures, in Enciso we have got a very different and special house: a house inside the school.
A long time ago, when the school was built, a dwelling was built inside it for the teacher who had to work in Enciso. In this time, the roads between the villages were very bad and people took a long time to go from one place to another one. Furthermore, Enciso is a very small village located between mountains and far away from the city so for that reason many years ago was essential for the teacher to live in the same place where he had the job.
Nowadays the roads have changed and the means of transport are better so is not as difficult as in the past was to travel to Enciso, for that reason at the present time the “teacher’s house” has been given to families who need it to live here in the village.
In these pictures you can see the whole building. The two apartments where people live are located on the top and the two classrooms are in the bottom of the building. Through these two entrances you can enter in the classrooms and if you go upstairs you can visit our neighbours who are students at this school!

Arnedillo

arnedillo house

People who live in Arnedillo live in flats and are called neighbours.
The flats are in buildings which are in this village.
Buildings have got three, four or more floors.
There are two or more flats in each floor.
The buildings are made of stones, bricks, concretes, etc.
Each flat has got windows and terraces.
The windows are made of aluminum and glass.

Herce

P1010186

P1010208These houses in Herce are single-family houses and they have a little garden in the front and a big terrace in the backyard. There´s also a garage for the car and they have three floors. They are semi-detached houses and the neighbours say hello to each other everyday. Besides they are located just next to our school. They are made of bricks and the have a light colour that we love very much. Like in ‘the three little pigs’ the wind will never knock them down. Look what nice views they have from the houses!!
